While at work, I started experiencing some medical problems. I started having blurred vision, numbness in both hands, and memory problems. I talked to a coworker and she noticed I wasn't myself. She immediately took me to the Emergency Room.
Shortly upon arrival, Deb came to my care. She had the nurses start vitals while she started her assessment of my condition. She promptly ordered an MRI and was closely monitoring my elevated blood pressure. She contacted a referral hospital to discuss further treatment of my condition. By the time I returned back to the ER from the MRI, she started medicine to lower my blood pressure. Medicine was also started to treat the blood clot and the helicopter was called to transport me to a larger hospital.
Deb was continuously at my bedside, informing me of the situation and treatment plan. She was very calm, caring, and compassionate throughout my care. By being a patient of hers at the Onaga Clinic, it assisted her in knowing my current condition. Being in a small rural setting, it brings comfort and trust with the high level of care she provides her patients. I am very thankful for her quick actions and the level of care she provided for me during my scary experience. Due to her fast assessment and treatment of my condition, I have no long term deficits from the stroke I experienced. I'm very blessed to have had such a loving, caring staff at Community Health Care System in my time of need.
