From the moment Nurse Debbie started her shift, she was beyond compassionate and extremely thorough! I truly felt she took the time to really get to know us and it made a much easier and comfortable experience, especially for my fiancé who was really doing all the work!
Debbie was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and confident in her skills. One specific story was when my fiancé had an anaphylactic reaction to an IV medication (we did not know she was allergic). My fiancé started to vomit immediately, and Debbie immediately stopped the IV. Then my fiancé’s tongue began to swell. Debbie maintained a calm, cool, and collected demeanor and had my fiancé back to baseline literally within minutes.
Debbie was able to clearly and effectively communicate with us during this time which was extremely helpful in keeping us informed and calm during what most would consider a very scary and stressful situation.
Debbie, from the first minute of her shift to the last second, made us feel like my fiancé was the only patient on the floor. A true spiritual warrior, Debbie will always be a major contributing factor to our 2nd daughter’s birth and delivery experience. More importantly, she will remain in my family’s hearts and prayers forever!
