Debra Thielen, RN
Debra Thielen is the definition of a selfless nurse who does not worry about the effort required to give exceptional care. It doesn’t matter if the department is busy or if she is loaded with responsibilities, this nurse will make sure that the patients get everything they need during the visit and after they leave. She is a leader for their teammates and jumps in during times of crisis. This nurse is respected by their peers, management, physicians, and health care providers. This nurse willingly takes on any project asked and does each task flawlessly. Even when faced with personal obstacles, she dedicates herself to patients, team members, church, and community. Her broad experience working in several different departments allows her to be an invaluable resource throughout our organization. She loves to educate others and share the incredible knowledge she has gained over the years. We had a long-term patient in our hospital who had no family or support and she personally bought the patient several sets of clothes and would offer to wash the patient’s clothes, expecting no acknowledgment or anything in return. Out of the kindness of her heart, this nurse wanted to help fill that void for the patient. Debra has proven time and time again that her passion is giving exceptional care to patients.
