Dee Kaker, RN

Dee is a preceptor who goes above and beyond to make sure new staff in her unit feel welcome and comfortable. After finding myself in a new position after 19 years and being a preceptor myself in my old role, I was grateful to her, how she took me under her wing and made sure I had all the tools I needed to do the job. She even switched her schedule to be able to train me and provide valuable support and assistance. She is also professional, compassionate, and treats patients with dignity and respect. She is a problem solver and gives constructive feedback. Even now that I am done with orientation, she let me know she is available to answer questions if the need arises.
