Dee exemplifies compassion and caring for our patients. I have watched her calm anxious patients in their most vulnerable state. She instills trust quickly and follows up on their needs. She steps into the charge role whenever needed. When anyone on the team needs help, she is right there to step in (sometimes sacrificing her own lunch plans or breaks for the needs of the department). She is always pleasant and calm even in the most difficult situations. Her smile is warm and welcoming to new staff, taking them under her wing, sharing her wealth of knowledge.
She cares for her patients, her team, and our physicians. Dee is the definition of a patient advocate, ensuring they get the best care possible.
