Dee Winters, RN, CCRP, CPRP

After suffering cardiac arrest and major organ shutdown, I found myself without energy and unable to walk without a walker, and only for a very short distance. Nurse Winters called several times, encouraging me to do the cardiac rehab that the V.A. approved. I put her off for several weeks, because I couldn't see how it could help. Her persistence paid off, and I went to my first appointment convinced it would be my last. Nurse Winters met me as I came in and helped set me up on a machine she said would help me rehabilitate. I seriously doubted that would be the case, but she was so nice and friendly. I worked out for a full 3 minutes before she said, "That's enough for today!" I readily agreed. From that day on, Dee helped me persevere. She is so full of energy and joy. She's always laughing, spreading hope, and always positive. Words can't describe how much my family and I thank her and her well-trained crew for "bringing me back!" I am 77, and I feel like I'm in my 50's again. I walk 8-12 miles a week, and work out on the machines. Thank you for having such a wonderful staff. What Nurse Winters did for me is what she does for all. Dee is the most extraordinary nurse I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
