It seems that I am a frequent visitor to the VA medical facilities at McGuire. My military experience contributed to my situation. So, I come in contact with so many of the medical personnel. What a fine group of people to know. They have done so much for me. I wouldn't know where to start. When I come across an outstanding staff nurse or physician, I like to take time to recognize them. In this case there was a nurse name Deepika was a sweetheart from the first time I met her. Her greeting set the stage for a great relationship. Nurse Deepika was very attentive to my problem. In addition to my respiratory ailment, I have neck and back pain. She helped me be as comfortable as possible with these pains. When I needed additional medication she would contact the physician to see if the meds could be given and always made a follow-up to make sure I received them. Small things she was attentive to, for example, I came into the hospital through the emergency room, so all I had was the clothes on my back. I didn't have my Holy Bible. She made sure I received a Bible with large text for elderly people. My water pitcher was never empty. She made it a priority to keep me hydrated. The most outstanding quality of Nurse Deepika was her attitude. Attitude goes a long way in a medical facility. She was always pleasant, warm, kind, considerate and gentle. She greeted me with a smile, and it remained with her the entire day. Thank you for allowing nurse Deepika to serve me while I was in the medical facility. God Bless.
