Congratulations to Delaney Blazek at Franciscan Health Indianapolis for being our latest DAISY Award Honoree. Delaney was nominated by a patient’s son for being thorough, prompt, kind, empathetic and exemplifying Christ in everything she did:
Delaney stayed by Mom’s side the entire time she was dying, not only making sure she was comfortable as she struggled to take her last breath but, without any hesitation, holding her hand and just starting talking to God, almost as if she was ushering my mom into His hands. It was the most innocent and pure thing I’ve witnessed in years.
