When you're the parent of a NICU baby, it's nerve-racking and scary. Having nurses like Delaney is priceless. My husband and I were scared to leave our new son's bedside, but have other children at home, two of which had birthdays during our stay in the NICU. When we decided to leave to celebrate one of their birthdays and get a hard night's sleep she reminded us to log into the camera if that would make us feel better or to call her whenever we needed. Each time I logged into the camera there was little note on my son. One said " I'm doing great mom!" another one said, "no alarms and I peed on my nurse!" the last one said, "I got inked! Birth certificate footprints (check) (no alarms)”.

Every night that she was with us was a complete blessing. She was fun to chat with, personable, and knowledgeable. We knew that she would treat our son as if he was one of her own and that gave us peace. To me, Delaney is what every anxious parent needs. A breath of fresh air and compassion for all that the NICU parents go through.
