When I think of Delmy now, resilience, determination, and compassion come to mind.
The most courteous and helpful at all times. So friendly and caring. Exceptional nurse. On top of meds and doctor’s orders.

I had a total knee replacement and it wasn't easy to get my pain under control. Due to her diligence and compassion, she managed to do that. I also needed a transfusion and she kept a close eye on me which put my mind at ease. She never got upset even though I needed her several times and she kept the doctor informed of my needs. She's a blessing to your staff.

Delmy has been with JCMH for six years now. I remember when she interviewed for the position. She seemed quiet and shy and I wasn’t sure how she would be able to keep up with the fast-paced workflow on 4N. However, there is more to Delmy than what you see on the outside.
When I think of Delmy now, resilience, determination, and compassion come to mind. She is also an excellent communicator. She communicates with all of the multidisciplinary teams to ensure the patient is getting all of the help they need. She always puts her patients first and is not afraid to advocate for them. She is a thorough educator when it comes to her patients' medical needs. She knows the importance of educating her patients, and often the families of the patient before they leave her care. She does not take shortcuts with any of her care. She can have many irons in the fire at one time, and still, sit with a patient and give them all of the time they need, without seeming to be in a rush.
Delmy shows great compassion to her patients and their family members. She also shows compassion to her fellow colleagues and will pitch-in and help whenever help is needed. She is a true team player and has shown her dedication to her team over and over again. She goes above and beyond during all of her shifts. Her determination is infectious and keeps the team morale up. I appreciate all that she does for her patients, their families, and all of her colleagues. I and her entire team enjoy working with her. I truly learn something from Delmy each time I work with her.
