Delores Gilbert, RN

Today Delores went above and beyond for her patient in 6 West. Delores assessed her patient who has Advanced Dementia and was able to get a name from her. Delores did a Google search. A Sheriff’s report popped up along with news alerts from Twitter, Facebook, and NBC news. She showed the patient the picture to confirm it was her and notified the MD. The MD contacted our social worker. The social worker found the family and, in a matter of 30 minutes, they were here to see their family member. The family was so relieved. She had been gone since 4 pm yesterday. The joy that was on Delores’ face was what nursing is all about!
