It is always an amazing pleasure working with DeMarcus. I notice that one of my hospice patients has him as their nurse and I can rest assured knowing they will be well taken care of, and comfortable. Dee truly goes above and beyond to make the end-of-life experience the best it can be for the patients and families.
Hospice patients can be very difficult and emotional; however, Dee constantly handles it with grace. On multiple occasions I have personally witnessed him interacting with patients, most of whom are unresponsive, and every time he treats them with dignity and respect. He ensures medications are provided in a prompt and effective manner and prioritizes the patient's comfort during their difficult transition. I know the hospice team; patients and their families are extremely thankful to have Dee there to hold their hand through this process. Thank you for all you do to keep our patients safe, for treating them with compassion and dignity, and for supporting grieving family members. You make Sentara a great place to work.
