Demi Kunkel, LPN

Demi was a fantastic nurse during my hospital stay. She quickly answered my questions, made sure I knew what was coming up next, kept my in-board marker board up to date, and ensured I had what I needed. When Demi realized I had been skipped over for a lunch tray, she said she'd make sure I got one pronto. And I am not kidding when I say she had lunch in front of me five minutes later(which was great because I was super hungry!). When it was time to be discharged, she celebrated with me and got me out quicker than any hospital stay I have ever experienced. When the unit was short-staffed, she let me know up front, reminded me she was still there and available to help, and ensured I knew how to reach her. When my IV pole kept beeping every time I bent my arm and I had to call her for help, she never got frustrated with me--just reminded me that she was happy to help. It was really really nice having Demi as my nurse. If I have to spend time at the hospital again, I hope I get to spend it with Demi. She's the bee's knees.
