Demond Watson, BSN, RN

We had a patient on 2N needing compassionate care and frequent assistance due to his degenerative disease and declining condition. Demond Watson, took it upon himself to address the family's concerns, educate them on their son's care plan as best he could, and not only notify me to follow up after the weekend, but wrote the family a letter to close the loop.  In his letter to the family, he wrote, "Thank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. Your feedback allows us to improve our standards to better meet the needs of our patients as well as the concerns of their family. You and your loved ones are the reason we are here, and more importantly, it is imperative that we understand the needs of our patients/family and when these needs are not being met. I hope I have addressed and resolved your immediate concern. If I can do anything else to assist, please do not hesitate to reach out to me as well." I am so proud to have Demond as a nurse leader on this team!
