I had to go to the ER with a very ugly GI virus. Dena was immediately compassionate and understanding. She began preparation for treatment before the doctor even saw me. She knew things I would need done and prepared for them to reduce my wait time for treatment. She continued to check on me and work to try to keep me comfortable, from medications to new warm blankets. As I began to recover, she then talked about my then 3-week old scar from a total knee replacement. I then realized without me asking, she had gotten pillows to support my leg and knee from awkward positions on the ER bed. I believe she truly went out of her way to be an observant, compassionate and thorough nurse. Thank you.
