Dena Pearson, BSN, RN

Dena is an Angel. She is one of the staple charge nurses, hands-on, the most kind-hearted, genuine, and hardworking nurses that I have had the privilege of working with. No matter what, she has a huge smile on her face and will do anything for anyone, staff or family member to make their day. She has been going through a lot lately with the passing of her mother and still manages to be a pillar of strength for her nurses.

An example of how incredible she is: one day I had a stroke alert patient that lasted nearly two hours, when I am back all of my patients were up-to-date with medications, one-time dose medications were carried out and all my charts were signed and current. What! who does that? Dena Pearson does that. She goes above and beyond for everyone, there is no other charge nurse I rather work with. When I walk in and see her name listed as charge nurse, I smile because I know no matter what is thrown in my way, I will be just fine because I have Miss Dena by my side.
