ICU Nurse, Denesha Bivens, went above and beyond to make my time in ICU as comfortable as possible, at all times. During this time, my only child graduated from high school and I wasn't able to attend. Denesha organized a celebration in my room with my daughter and family and all the staff that was incredible. She also contacted my daughters ASB advisor and organized my daughter to be able to hold up a message for me after receiving her diploma. I was extremely touched by this surprise and the whole celebration prior to her graduation. I cannot say enough good things about Denesha and I will always be grateful.

Mr. H was admitted to ICU one day in June. Sad to say that he would miss a very important day in his life seeing his only daughter graduate from high school. Denesha cared for Mr. H the day before his daughter's graduation. She began making calls to the school principal and the ASB president to see what she could do. Denesha arranged with the principal and ASB president to have the graduation ceremony streamed live. So that the daughter could hold up a sign saying, "I love you dad". She arranged with Mrs. H to bring in school T-shirts and other items to decorate Mr. H's room. Everything was arranged and ready to go the morning of the graduation, Denesha arranged to have the nutrition department set up a celebratory tray brought to the room at 3 pm. She also spoke with staff, physicians and other members of the team to be present at 3 pm to celebrate with the family when his daughter arrived in her cap and gown. Denesha, as well as her colleagues, decorated the room with a banner, strung with school T-shirts and other decorations to party up the place for the afternoon celebration. The family we so very appreciative for the effort Denesha made that they called up the OC register and had an article published regarding Denesha's warm and heartfelt efforts to fulfill Mr. H's dream of being present at his daughter's graduation.
