I had an accident that resulted in a fall and had several surgeries (my left wrist, jaw was wired, and right elbow). I was unable to take care of myself, and I live alone. The hospital had provided me with outside caregivers to call but I did not have any luck with arranging help. Nurse Gallagher knew it was impossible for me to take care of myself. She volunteered to come to my home and assist me. She assisted in bathing, caring for my home and pets, and making sure I had the care I needed. She did not ask for pay and assisted on her own time. I knew that Denisa genuinely cared for my well-being along with her other patients. Denisa was a Godsend. Denisa also provided me with clothes that could fit over my splint and a long sweater because she knew I was always cold. Denisa went above and beyond in caring for me, she is a true DAISY Nurse.
