Denise Fontenot, BSN RN

I would like to recognize Denise Fontenot for going above and beyond and inserting an NG tube in our department for a patient. This patient already had multiple attempts on the floor by other nurses with no success. Denise offered her assistance in the radiology department to insert the tube and did an excellent job, successfully getting the tube down. The following day, the patient pulled the tube out, and it had to be reinserted. Denise prioritized the patient and took decisive action, knowing this was a difficult insertion. She went to the patient's room this time and did the reinsertion. It was successful again. The way she spoke to the patient and encouraged her was amazing. She is an asset to our department.
