Denise J Nelson, MS, CRNA, APRN

Denise was my Anesthesiologist for my c-section. Before going to the OR, she came into my room, went over the spinal procedure, and answered any questions I had. While in the OR, she explained everything she was doing and frequently checked in on me. During the c-section, she made sure I was as comfortable as I could be and continued to explain what the doctor and nurses were doing. When I voiced my concern about vomiting during the procedure, she made sure to give me medication to prevent nausea and provided me with alcohol wipes to place near my nostrils.

Once my baby was born and found to have breathing troubles, she stayed by my side and reassured me everything was okay and informed me of what the doctor and nurses were doing to help my baby as I could not see the baby from the table. She also noticed my husband getting pale and made sure to comfort him and ensure he was going to be okay. She truly was a blessing to have during the procedure, as she helped ease my anxiety and calm my nerves.
