Denise was a breath of fresh air when my mom was at her lowest.
Denise was a breath of fresh air when my mom was at her lowest. She was professional, yet very personable. She wanted us to know the truth about what we were facing with the dangerous condition mom was in. Dr. A had me call in the family that day and Denise assured us she would do everything she could that was within her power for mom. She was constantly in mom’s room. It ended up being too many in the room with mom and she called me and my sister out to talk in private. Her concern was for mom and her being overwhelmed with all the interaction and noise from so many in the room. She was willing to tell the family, if we couldn’t, that the limit in the room had to be only four so mom could try to get better.

When she finished nursing my mom for two days, she and Dr. A had mom better in a twenty-four-hour period of time. This lady made sure we didn’t want or have a need for anything. I was saddened when she never came back on duty to care for mom the rest of that week. Then I saw her downstairs and recognized her through her mask and her voice! I was elated to see her and told her so. After giving an update on mom, she was happy and her words were, “Tell your sister hello! I’ll come up to see y’all as soon as I get a break.” It wasn’t an hour later when she came through the door! We will never forget Denise.
