Denise Philibosian, RN

I had a challenging patient who was (1) late to her appointment (2) anxious about coming into the Allergy department for her appointment, reporting that the visit triggers PTSD and wanted to leave before the testing was completed. Denise was very patient with her, explaining repeatedly the reasoning behind the testing and the process. The patient became overwhelmed during her testing appointment and wanted to leave in the middle of it. Denise was able to keep the patient calm, distract her and help her complete the testing. Denise also spent extra time explaining the value of the testing and how it could help her. In a follow-up visit with the patient, the patient was very grateful for Denise because she was able to complete the testing and understand her allergies better.
