Denise was patient, kind, caring, and very informative. She did research to understand our spinal cord injury and to assist in our understanding of the injury. She made E feel comfortable at her most uncomfortable time in life. Denise laid on the floor to reach under the chair when E complained that something wasn't quite right and resolved the issue. (We have pictures to prove it!) Denise took time to teach our family nursing techniques and was patient with our many, many, many questions answering them all. When it was time for E to be discharged after 38 days in the ICU Denise organized a "code rainbow" gathering all of Good Samaritan staff with a presidential send-off for our daughter. (I also have pictures and a video of that I'm sending to anyone who will listen to me starting with Ellen, Oprah, and President Obama).
There are not enough words to express our gratefulness to Denise for her awesomeness but we will continue telling anyone who will listen.
