My 93-year old mother was admitted to the hospital with stage 4 cancer. After a 5-day stay, she was transferred to rehab with the hope she could meet the qualifications to return home. She was so weak she could barely stay awake. Denise was caring and compassionate as she told me about the hospice program, which is a much better fit than rehab. Her discussion with me was very appropriate and tied up all the loose ends I was feeling in this stressful time. She cared enough about my mom to go beyond routine care and bring insight, options, and comfort to us. While we had already made the decision to try hospice, her frank, insightful, caring and thorough explanation was much help.
