Denita is a great team player and always jumps in to make sure that her co-workers have the help that they need. On this particular shift, Denita was scheduled to be relief charge but also had a 4 patient assignment herself. We received a very heavy burn patient who was at least a 2:1 for the entire shift. In addition, we had several other patients that were very heavy. On this shift we had a less experienced crew on. Denita made sure that her patients were properly cared for but was also constantly going into her co-worker’s rooms to make sure that they were caught up and that each patient was cared for. Denita also helped coordinate to make sure that all staff received a break on this very busy shift. She did all of this while maintaining a positive attitude. The coordination and communication were nothing short of exceptional. Denita is such an important member of our team and is so appreciated. She really made this very hard shift go as well as could be expected. She is a great nurse!
