From my husband's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd visit, Dennis has been one of the many nurses providing care for him. From the moment Dennis walked into the room, it was obvious how much he cared. He spoke to us in a respectful manner and made us feel like family. He made sure my husband understood everything that was going on with his medical care. He made sure my husband knew each and every single pill he had to take, and he also explained what each pill did.
My husband did not want to walk and was not drinking. Dennis would pour a glass of water and told my husband that he would need to finish it before his next visit. Dennis was the only one he would listen to. Dennis would also talk to him into taking a lap around the floor.
On his 3rd visit back after my husband's kidney transplant - my husband mentioned that he hoped Dennis would be here. Dennis was the first person we saw when we got to the floor and with a smile on his face, he stated he was waiting for my husband.
Again, all the nurses on this floor have been awesome but Dennis stood out above everyone. Thank you for making us feel comfortable and making us laugh when we felt we couldn't. Dennis, your compassion and care will also be remembered.
