A very dear friend of mine came through the ER for his son and ended up having surgery. They sent me a text and a picture of the nurse and could not say enough about him. I know when I saw the name and picture they were right. Dennis is a fantastic nurse. Here is the text my friend sent:
Good Morning, what a difference a day makes. Today is already a 100% better. He had a really good night. He has got a great attitude. It has been so funny with comments, typical of his humor. He is finding the positive in it all. We were blessed with an Angel from heaven disguised as an RN named Dennis. He was the most perfect nurse ever. In all my hospital care, I have never met or seen such a nurse. He described Dennis as a combo of G Daddy & David Palmer. It was true. They cut up and bantered all night. He spent ridiculous amounts of time with us, even stayed over an hour past his shift this morning. Dennis got him up in the shower at 4 AM so he could use the bathroom...a major criteria to go home successfully. He felt so much better being clean. The Doctor gave me his cell phone number to call and Dennis said he was working tonight and to call the unit if he needed anything. Dennis told us he loved us in front of the Doctor when he left. So if there is lemonade to be made, we got the very best one we could ever have! Thanks for everything.
