Dennis' nomination came from a Veteran's daughter who wrote:

"When I was scared by info on the blip screens (heart rate, blood pressure, etc) Dennis came and explained it to me and greatly eased by fears. My Dad is a very gentle guy, and Dennis treated him very gently, and I am thankful for that. He always greeted me with a smile whenever I visited my Dad. It gave me confidence that my Dad was getting the best care possible, and I am so thankful. Dennis also helped rid our room of an obnoxious visitor while still giving the man his dignity when leaving.

I was already shook up just having my Dad so sick. Then Dad's friend showed up and started arguing with me. Dennis came to the door and I told him, 'This guy has to go - he's getting me more wound up than I already am.' Dennis was very nice to him, but at the same time he also asked the guy to leave the unit, and even walked him to the door. Thank you Dennis. Warm hugs to you!!"
