Upon arriving I received constant wonderful care. I had seen some “hiccups” during CV ICU and when I was transferred out and back to cardiac care these concerns were addressed with real intention. The gentle informed and comprehensive attention with full explanations helped me understand best practices and the smoothest road to recovery from my triple bypass surgery. When I had a bout of atrial fibrillation following my surgery, Tristan Santos was there to assure me that this was not unusual and helped manage the situation until I returned to sinus rhythm.

Rayzell Mendoza was my nurse both as an incoming and outgoing patient. With her optimistic and very competent attitude, she has helped me regain my strength and positive outlook. We were able to discuss many things due to her attention and patience.

Kristine Lim was my case nurse for several days. Her steady presence clear explanations and positive nature helped allay many of my fears following surgery. She answered many questions and advocated for my best care often giving me options instead of insisting. I owe my speedy recovery to these three outstanding nurses who worked as a fluid team always “keeping me in the loop” understanding that as much as they can do I am ultimately responsible for my recovery too. I am indebted to all of them and so many more for my recuperation. I have received such excellent care here at Kaiser.
