Derek Cox, RN

I nominate Derek Cox for the Daisy Award. I have been a guest of Osborn Hospital three times within a month. Each time I arrived at the hospital through the emergency entrance - once by ambulance and twice by walking in. All three times I had interactions with Derek, who handled my issues and appeared to be efficient with others near me. He is sensitive to the fact that people who come to the hospital must be treated compassionately, but with firm and loving hands. He seems to have developed a sixth sense about patients’ needs and mixes his talent with gentle humor. Derek excelled all the way around.
