Deryn is a soft-spoken angel of a nurse. She will walk into a patient's room in the morning during rounds and stop everything to be the one to take them to the bathroom without thinking twice. Not only does she nurse her patients, she is hands-on, on a daily basis assisting, tending to their care. She will take the precious few moments to stand with a patient in their room listening to the stories of their life, the concerns of the family and really make them feel as though they are being heard and understood. She always has a moment to make sure her coworkers are doing okay and to lend a hand if needed. She is quick with praise and smiles and I feel very lucky to have her on our team.
