Deshshawn Sickles, RN

I was lucky enough to have Deshawn as my nurse during the labor, delivery, and recovery of my second child. This pregnancy was extremely hard on me due to anxiety from a miscarriage last year. My anxiety got worse during labor, and Deshawn was extremely caring and understanding. She took the time to explain everything that was happening, helped me manage my pain, taught my husband techniques to help manage pain, and advocated for me in any way I needed. When things got concerning for me and my baby, she remained calm and reassured me that everything was going to be okay. I felt that my baby and I were in the best hands the entire time. Deshawn went above and beyond and represents what it truly means to be a nurse.
