Desirae Genrich, RN

I was lucky enough to have Desirae as my nurse last night. Something got confused and it turned out I hadn't had my pain medication for 6 hours. Desirae spent the rest of the night playing catch up trying to control my pain. She did a tremendous job even putting warm compresses under my neck and towels under my heels. Even though she knew I was in a lot of pain, she herself stayed so very bright and cheery, cracking little jokes and saying things to make me smile. I truly appreciated that. Finally, by 4 AM she was able to control my pain by using all sorts of creative means bringing my pain level to a "2". Desirae checked on me at least 20 times. What an excellent nurse she truly is.
