Desiree was recognized by an employee whose mother was an inpatient. The patient had been recently diagnosed with cancer and her prognosis was not good, over time the patient became disoriented and confused. Due to COVID restrictions family and/or visitors are unable to stay the night with patients. When Desiree wasn't tending to her other patients, she would sit with this patient in order to make sure she knew where she was and didn't feel alone. This shows Desiree's compassion and how she goes above and beyond for her patients daily.
