Destinee was exceptionally caring and a great nurse; she was very helpful, explained my after-hospital care, and showed lots of empathy during my stay at Advent Health Hospital. My family was very impressed and appreciated Destinee's attention to detail and her knowledge explaining my after-discharge health care. Destinee is the one in a million caregivers. Nursing is in her heart. My stay was not expected, and she made my stay comfortable and reassuring. Destinee checked on me and my husband multiple times throughout the day. My procedure did not present the outcome expected because it was supposed to be outpatient. What made Destinee so remarkable was that she remembered me saying it was my daughter's birthday soon. She was my nurse that day, she came back to see me on the following, even though she was not assigned to me. Her visit lifted my spirits and showed the true compassion she has for the patients she cares for. She is what this award encompasses. If I had a family member in the hospital, Destinee would be my choice nurse. Advent should be appreciative to have a nurse representative as good and caring and proud to have her on staff.
