Destiny Escio 2, RN

My mother was in the ICU two times this year. Even though it was a very hard time for our family (obviously), Destiny eased the pain with her care and compassion, which she particularly showed to my father who was losing his beloved bride of 50 years. Older than my mom, I don’t think he had ever contemplated having to lose her. Destiny explained things to him in a way that helped him understand the decisions he had to make. She was gentle and understanding through every up and down and treated us like family. Fortunately, we have not had to deal with doctors/hospitals/nurses as much as some people may but I truly cannot imagine a more deserving person for this award.
