Destiny Kellerman, BSN, RN

My mother was under the care of your hospital earlier this month. Over the years, her decline in wellness has made advocating for herself and communicating her needs difficult. I (her son) flew out to support her in what seemed like a very uncertain outcome. I spent the majority of each day with her and witnessed the quality care she received from both the doctor and nursing staff.

However, one particular Registered Nurse stood out exceptionally. Destiny went above and beyond in both her duties as an RN and as an individual who demonstrates compassion, empathy, and the ability to inspire happiness in all circumstances. Witnessing her ability to remain attentive and thorough to my mother's needs, all while creating happiness and laughter was a comforting and inspiring experience.

My mother's struggle to communicate during her recovery made it difficult for her to advocate for herself in communicating clearly. Destiny was patient and kind while communicating with her, and each time she walked in, my mother would light up with a huge smile. Witnessing the laughter shared and genuine care for her wellbeing was truly a blessing, and we are truly grateful for her as an RN and individual who truly loves what she does.

Destiny stands out from the rest, and we are truly grateful for the positive impact she made in our lives. We will always remember her and the example she sets as an RN and compassionate person.
