I am one of the ANMs on SW6- General Surgery. One night, I had a huge issue that required campus police and quite a lot of drama. There was a little girl there who was witnessing it all as it had to do with a family member. The little girl was obviously quite upset and crying. Destiny happened to stop by the unit just to return a lost linen key and heard all the commotion. She jumped into action and took the little girl into the TL office and talked with her the whole time distracting her from what was occurring. She stayed over-shift until everything was settled and safe for the little girl. It allowed me to be able to focus on the problem at hand knowing the little girl was safe and distracted.
