Destiny successfully implemented the project, "Heartbeat" in a Bottle. This was inspired by other ICU nurses who have shared this idea. The project aims at providing support to those who have lost a loved one in the ICU. With the help of ICU nurses, we take recycled medicine vials and decorate them to place an EKG strip (the passed patient's heartbeat image) in this vial. Allowing the family to have a keepsake of their loved one and assist in the grieving and healing process.
