Dettra has been an advocate of the Professional Recognition Program. She has rounded throughout the hospital to teach other staff members about the program. Because of her efforts, we are going to have an all time record of PRP recipients this month. We typically have two to four recipients. This month, we are approaching 15-20 just from the MICU and around another 5 or so from SICU. Because of her efforts, we may have upwards of 20-25 recipients for this special recognition program. Her selflessness and investment in others is impressive. She exemplifies the essence of what a DAISY nurse is about - putting others first. Her efforts builds relationships and demonstrate what relationship based care is about - building relationships not just with our patients but with each other, investing in each other, and recognizing excellence in each other.
