My father was admitted to P5-CVICU after a complex CABG x5. At 58 years old, he had never spent time in the hospital and was very scared when he arrived after surgery, still disoriented and in a lot of pain. Devin went above and beyond to not only provide stellar care but also to reassure and empower my dad to get well. Devin was patient and kind and took the time to explain everything to us and my dad. He was the first person to really convince my dad that he was doing great and that everything was going well. Devin never judged, never slacked and diligently managed my dad's care with humor and compassion. He is an incredible nurse and we thank him for his skill, knowledge, and unwavering support of his patients. As a CCRN myself, I am aware of what an extraordinary asset Devin is to this unit and the HFHS.
