Nurses have such a difficult position in their work lives. Caring for their patients and playing liaison between family and all various staff from many health fields. My mother has been in and out of Kettering Medical Center since mid-August. In all her time in the hospital, she's never had more of an advocate then Devon. The family has been so at ease because we've seen how much she cares and how kind she has been to our mother. We've never had a nurse be the family advocate that this young lady has been. When it seemed that even the doctors weren't listening to us, she was! She helped us filter thru information and kept making notes and relaying our thoughts and questions to our mother's team of doctors. This young lady cared as much for our mom as our family did about finding answers to mom's health issues. Her exemplary care deserves to be recognized.
