I wanted to share with you a beautiful act of kindness I just witnessed. We just discharged an unfortunate schizophrenic gentleman who is known to live in his car. Devon first of all gave him amazing physical care including a foot washing (he hadn't bathed for months). Then on discharge, I saw Devon squeeze a $10.00 bill from her pocket to his palm. Frankly, had tears in my eyes and am so proud to work with her. She went above and beyond and I wanted you to know the caliber of nurse we are blessed with.
