I am honored to commend Devora Soukeut for the extraordinary compassion, intelligence, and advocacy she brings to every patient interaction.
What sets her apart is her ability to truly meet patients where they are—emotionally, physically, and mentally. She takes the time to understand each individual’s situation, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and cared for. Her approach goes far beyond clinical care; she sees the whole person.
One of the most meaningful ways she demonstrates this is through small but powerful acts of kindness. She often offers patients haircuts and shaves—simple gestures that restore dignity and help them feel more like themselves during vulnerable moments. These acts may seem small, but they have a profound impact on how patients see themselves and their healing journey.
In addition to her compassion, she is exceptionally knowledgeable and sharp. Her clinical judgment is strong, and she consistently uses her expertise to advocate for what is best for her patients. She is not afraid to speak up, ask questions, and ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care.
Devora embodies what it means to be a patient advocate and a nurse who leads with both heart and mind. Her presence makes a lasting difference not only for her patients, but for her colleagues as well.
