Devorah has worked at Harrison Medical Center for 13 years, is an exceptional employee, and since becoming an RN has received her Medical Surgical certification. As a new employee, Devorah worked as a certified nursing assistant on 3 West until she earned her registered nursing degree. Since then, she has developed a respectful relationship with both her peers and physicians. Devorah’s calm, patient manner has always been a great help to 4 West, especially on the night shift. Her knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and positive attitude help when frustrations are high. Devorah is always prompt and courteous when assisting patients, visitors, and peers. I commend her attention to detail, which helps the work move smoothly, and her right sense of balance. Many times her exceptional contributions go unnoticed.

Devorah has also contributed at staff meetings, providing a video series exploring the medical, legal, and ethical principles surrounding transfusion alternatives and the different cultural views about transfusion.

Patients and families have commented many times on how Devorah is always willing to go the extra mile and is a joy to work with. She is an important part of the team on 4 West, and I believe a worthy recipient of the DAISY Award.
