DeWayne S Trice, RN, BSN

DeWayne Trice started at ASSC as a BHT on the adolescent unit. He is now a preceptor, head of the hospital's Site Advisory Council, and assists as an adjunct instructor with CPI classes. He was nominated by multiple patients and each of his nominations mentions his kind attitude, drive, and passion for his patients. The nomination that was most meaningful was observed by a staff member. "I observed DeWayne dedicate time to talk to a patient who was admitted for chemical detox. He provided not only traditional resources like an AA book but provided his own story of recovery and presented a Desire chip to the patient. This act went above and beyond what is expected and was both therapeutic and kind."
