When I was admitted to the hospital, I was suffering from severe chest pain and shortness of breath. I was anxious and worried, and it was clear on my face that I feared this pain might be a sign of a heart attack. Nurse Duha entered my room at that critical moment, as I was overwhelmed by the pain. She gently approached me, placed her hand on my shoulder, and said, “Don’t worry, we are here to relieve your pain and reassure you.”

She quickly took my vital signs, called the doctor, and stayed by my side, holding my hand. She explained to me that this kind of pain is common in cardiac cases and assured me that I would receive the proper medication. Every moment she was there, she closely monitored my condition. After receiving the necessary medications, the pain gradually eased. I looked at her with eyes full of gratitude and told her, “The pain itself was difficult, but the fear was even harder. Your presence by my side relieved me so much.”

She continued to check on me every half hour, talking to me about things I love, like my children and their activities, to distract me from the pain and anxiety. After a few days, my condition improved greatly. I asked to see her personally to thank her. I will never forget how she relieved my pain, comforted me, and became a healing balm to my recovery. Nurse Duha’s compassion, humanity, and holistic care left a lasting positive impact on my life.

Thank you, Dhuha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
