Diamond not only defines what the DAISY Award outlines, but he also went above and beyond the call of nurse duty with my care and recovery. Being admitted into this hospital, I felt nothing but fear and anxiety. It wasn't until I met Diamond that I felt human and motivated again. He talked to me and gave me the strength to fight for my recovery and return to my family. He showed compassion by taking the time to ensure I was safe and my needs were met. By just giving me small talk about his experiences and his positive outlook, he created a domain of trust and respect when I knew I was in his care. He assured me that even when he was not around my care should not be any less excellent, but he was truly the best.
