Diana K Penaran, RN
When my wife was moved to the Critical Care Unit and was placed in Hospice, neither I nor my granddaughters, who came to support me, knew what to expect.
Along with emotional support for the whole family, Diana Penaran explained every ordered medication and why she would give it. When possible, Diana allowed me to choose what medications were administered and when.
During her shift, Diana cleaned my wife and changed her gown. She also brushed her teeth several times during the shift. Though my wife was not conscious, Diana took every effort to ensure her comfort. She also gave my wife a prayer shawl.
One of my granddaughters, who was with me, is a nurse. She noted several times how Diana went above the norm to care for my wife. We are so grateful that Diana was the first nurse to attend my wife.
