Diana always goes above and beyond for her patients and for the physicians she works with. She takes time to speak with families about their concerns both in the office and over the phone. She regularly says things like, "I would want someone to do this for me if I were the patient family" and is extremely empathetic towards our patients and their families. She stays into the later evening hours to call families to discuss medication changes or any other questions they may have and will spend over an hour on the phone sometimes with a family answering their questions. She even takes on the role of a social worker to provide them the best community resources near their home. She will call up to 10 different pharmacies to ensure that a medication is available at that specific pharmacy for the family, so the family does not have to drive all over town looking for the medication. She always has a smile on her face, is always willing to help, and is able to figure out how to get things done even when the process seems difficult. All the patients appreciate her (I regularly hear from my patient families "oh Diana is wonderful!", "Diana really cares about us!") and our team would not be the same without here at the Meyer Center.
